Like if I wanted to prove race exists to a race-denier I wouldn't link them to the Wikipedia article on race as if that's persuasive evidence, or a page from the Encyclopedia Britannica. This is just kicking the epistemic can down the road.

@PeterGleick I had a copy editor completely mess up the taxonomy in my first book - she used Wikipedia as a source, which is execrable. The EIC would not let me reject their changes altogether (they had spent $). It took 2 weeks to fix everything.

It's not even just these issue. There's a bow in a fire emblem game whose name re-appears in Symphogear, and someone edited a wikipedia article on mythical weapons to say it's Odin's bow
