VRChat is a massively multiplayer online virtual reality social platform. It allows players to interact with others as 3D character models. The game was released for Microsoft Windows as a standalone application compatible with the Oculus DK1, and via Steam. Is it up or down? Is it down for me? Had to take care of a situation where people (hackers?) got the @VRChat world ID of an old/private among us prototype, and people were even streaming it. There was a sign saying it was unreleased, the world was clearly "Unlisted" AND broken. :/

@AzureusBat I dont have much problem with it at all, but there are ethics involved on what you include when making content from something like vrchat. It's one thing to include a funny convo or segway and another thing to post more sensitive content

@PizzadogAKAJay @Duuuuuuuuucky @VRChat doesn't mean it should be ignored, it's ****ty to deal with hackers/modders in other games, but when they literally get to kick/crash you out of the game you are trying to enjoy, then it starts getting worse. You're not wrong, they will find a way, but it is always preventable.

I'm at a point in my life where it's hard to sit down and focus on a single player game. Something in my head makes me lose interest when I'm not interacting with others. Luckily streaming definitely helps with interaction. Probably a big part of why I enjoy VRChat so much.

The amount of people that jumped out here to not only spread more false information, but wanted only to talk down on VRC without proof to back anything up instead of seeing the light side of things a prime example of why the #vrchat community is as bad as is is these days.

Am I weird for just... Hating multiplayer games??? Like the only multiplayer games I like are the more social ones, among us, town of salem, vrchat, ect.
Idk I'd just rather sit down and play Dark Souls. A solid single player experience > multiplayer

@zer0zer0thr3 @oculus I rest mine on the crown of my head, and tilt the arms of it so that the actual unit is facing a little upwards. It distributes the weight a little more evenly so long play sessions aren't a problem. Spent like 3 hours in VRChat the other night with no discomfort

*SIGH*😑 Stubled upon the actual problem, a texture needed an autofix in the vrchat builder for one of the characters (have several in one since I often do them in bulk)... Well it is still good to have a new and less bulky file to work in so I guess my time was still well spent

@vrcchikuwa11451 I looked around Google and some forums and couldn't find much on the issue. It could be a graphics card problem. You should try playing VRChat through the Oculus Store, maybe? SteamVR can be awful.

PSA: In VRChat, no one is going to hack your account, and simply blocking an avatars shaders and animations will stop them from being able to crash you. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Stop hiding in private. Stop spreading false fear mongering information. Vrchat is safe.

I hear other people have their horror stories, though. It does sound like a big issue, and there should probably be some more moderation.
