@vincent_v_p Please act against @TransferWise. They have a company in Belgium - TransferWise Europe SA Avenue Louise 54, Room S52 Brussels 1050 Belgium. They’re stealing money from people’s accounts. Yesterday they stole about 30000 EUR from my business account and shut it down

@CoreyConnects Hey, like you guys I also face the same issue with Transferwise. And there're hundreds if not thousands or millions of us, I guess, who knows. We'd like to put in a coordinated effort against them as my 30000 EUR is also stuck with them.

@TransferWise Shady company! Deactivated my business account but didn't return the balance of about 30000 EUR in my account. Don't use them ever. Whoever is facing a problem with them in the EU or the USA, tweet me. They simply enjoy interest on people's money for free.

@RichardScribbl1 I wanted to transfer some pounds to Austria but got a message from my bank there that there are now additional costs due to the UK now being a 3rd country. I believe TransferWise uses something else as I sent money to the US and did not encounter this problem.

@TransferWise Your support team simply did not understand the uk transfer system, had no contacts to navigate the issue with the receiving bank and gave me unhelpful information to burn my time with my bank. As experts in money transfer it was really disappointing

@Lauren_Japan At least part of the reason is regional rights verification issue (I’m not an expert nor subscriber but…) anyhow, I got a multi-curreny credit card via transferwise with Japan address > super handy, both for moving money around internationally and credit card payments in Japan

@jamesme50228301 @TransferWise For us uk I got HSBC in both countries, the rate was the same as TW. I asked my bank if I could register the amount they should expect to avoid the block, they said no. I don’t think this is TW specific issue, but their response demonstrated they didn’t understand the system

@TransferWise Get an e-wallet or banking license in Switzerland. Then you can use this location to issue Cards for almost anywhere in the world. The country has no restrictions on issuing cards to outside of the EU.

@VinaigretteGirl Can't use them online. Nothing is really open here either. I have a transferwise account but the problem is nowhere online will take cards registered outside the UK so all of my UK cards and my Transferwise $ card are useless.

@TransferWise As mentioned, not supporting #Crypto is just one part of the problem. The big part is that I want to remove my funds from #transferwise but you take 6 days to process this simple transfer (to a bank). This is way longer than a tradition bank. Not very "tech savvy", huh? #fintech

But the response did not only made me unhappy but has failed to address the main Issue which is refunding the money that's on the account back to the source asap or to myself

And to be clear, the screenshot above comes from TransferWise. I originally submitted everything to change my name over half a year ago. They say they'll get back to you if there's any problem. They never did. So why didn't it get changed?

And the increased fee only appeared on the confirmation screen - I almost missed it, because a *lower* fee was showing throughout every other step of the process.

@MatthewLever Thanks Matthew, this maybe down to how transferwise now process payments. If you reach out to our customer service team they'll be able to check your accounts to make sure all the payment details are correct.

@robkerry @StarlingBank @TransferWise TransferWise would have the same problem in that situation. Quick fix. You need to provide client with details for TW bank in the country/currency you need to receive monies and then convert the currency inside the TW account.
