TLDR: The "new issue" and "edit issue" interfaces use diff editor UIs & diff markup languages. Ticket was created >1 yr ago; just announced fix is targeted for mid-2022!!!

I know a number of sites with on-premise Atl***ian suites. It’s the gold standard for wiki & issue tracking. Always been an affordable price. These are not places, generally speaking, that can move to Atl***ian’s cloud. This news really stinks & means big $$ or a migration away.

@Atl***ian @scottfarkas 3) Privacy. A big issue for some companies large & small. The sensitive nature of what they do means that they are simply unable to move to the cloud. Costs. For us to move to Atl***ians cloud versions of Confluence, JIRA and JSD would mean paying double. It is not an option.

@Atl***ian SMEs can't afford every tool to be cloud based, it is much cheaper to have a server dedicated to team tools like Jira, Sentry, CI, also server can be used for testing
The problem you consider that the teams are not compent enough.
SMEs will have to look for alternatives

Often the reasons work is blocked is an issue of dependency outside of technology. They don't use Jira et al. They don't probably use any tool to manage work. Blockers get lost, forgotten, prioritized unfairly. This is too important an issue to leave to email alone!

At Atl***ian, we have researchers, but they serve as "consults". We're expected to hypothesize, run sessions, break down data and write shareout reports, etc.
