@matteo_gobbi @matteo_gobbi the 503 error is constantly there and hindering the use of the app. Is there fix you can apply for it? The app is useless without the ability to connect to iCloud! I have had these errors for 3-4 weeks now.

Yep. iCloud is fundamentally broken somewhere on the server side and there’s nothing we can do about it.

@LuisSteuer @valor_zhang My guess would be that you have some iCloud and non-iCloud (local) notes, ***uming Apple Notes works a little like Contacts where there's a sync'd / not sync'd distinction. You probably have to fix that manually by moving notes in the right folder.

Most video’s pictures information is now done with online iCloud storage there’s not much hard copies of info being recorded,if they crash the system they can rewrite history to suit

@GoodNotesApp Integrates with iCloud (you’ve got that). Bonus if it supports Linux/Windows Hold an unlimited number files of unlimited sizes. Reports, do***ent title export with details (file size, date at minimum), number of files, average file size, and duplicates (a constant issue for me)

@bhansmeyer In my app I’m building, I saw errors on iOS 15 using persisted container, I switched to Ckrecord / ckquery and it’s all working perfect on iOS 14 and 15. The issue was with users who had iCloud Drive toggled to off, check for that with your users I bet that’s it

@LuisSteuer @valor_zhang it syncs perfectly across my devices bc i have icloud turned on for notes. the solution for fixing the sync in the past for me was to sign out of icloud on the devices that didn’t match and signing back in to toggle the switch. haven’t had an issue since doing that https://t.co/o2pydNCzPt

I went REALLY far down the road to moving to @ownCloud this weekend only to realize, "This is more than I want to manage myself." No viable US based options for partners either. I have committed to becoming a paying Google user in July, but I'm looking at iCloud right now.

@mcelhearn Because Dropbox worked like garbage on one of my Macs, I was hoping to shift to iCloud Drive. Now I’m honestly concerned about having anything on there. Knowing this issue goes back to *May* last year is also deeply worrying. Seems like something someone should be writing up.

@CraigGrannell Huh. I wouldn't trust iCloud Drive for anything like that. Flat files, yes; but I've had far too many syncing issue. I was using Notes for a while, as a kind of reading list, but it wasn't updating on all my devices. Yet for some apps, like my calendar, it works fine.

In this case, because of how this app works (multiple docs in app file), backups weren’t a thing either. In short, I quit the app, it threw up a permissions error due to iCloud, and I lost a week of inputs. Again, this never happened with Dropbox. Apple needs to fix this. 3/3

@bhansmeyer @mjtsai It’s bad when you get it. Had my first case of data loss with a previously 100% robust app. This was down to me storing its centralised doc system on iCloud Drive. Net result: I cannot now trust iCloud Drive for anything.

@bhansmeyer Apple does not seem to consider this a priority because users blame apps and not iCloud. I doubt apple will do anything unless the media starts paying attention. Filing a bug report using the feedback ***istant wouldn’t hurt but I’m not hopeful. They seem to have a major problem
