I have to fix my google calendar because… it keeps showing my meetings in EST instead of CST. I’ve missed two meetings over the past week because of this. 🫣🫣

@ChrisJourdan dude im totally jacked up I made the mistake of scheduling everything in my google calendar for EST time by simply adding 2 hours to my own time zone now I have to fix everything lmao whoops

@googlecalendar This is an issue both in web and on IOS. When I create an event myself it works fine and syncs. But for some reason it isn’t picking up ICS files and I have to manually add to calendar.

I’ve turned off every auto-join setting and completely disconnected my Google calendar from my @otter_ai account, and it’s still joining EVERY MEETING on my calendar. Super frustrating and embarr***ing and a major privacy issue. Beyond frustrated.

@IhaveabluehatMP UI wise? (Find a system that works better for you... I use Moleskine notebooks for to-do's and notes, and iCal's interface for Google Calendar.) Or appointment wise? (Cull down what you can.)

@brittaniearwen When I choose to use Google Calendars and jot down audition due dates, that's pretty effective. The problem comes in the objective word, "choose". If I choose not to use it, auditions go by the wayside. Best wishes with whatever you find that works.

@ZackStrength Super easy. Even less problems than Zoom in my experience. Also, Google calendar invites have an option to automatically create Meeting links so it's all integrated. Never had an issue with someone not being able to join, and I deal with not so tech savvy people all the time.

@jimmisimpson @****olanemoore I have ADHD and MS. I use a color -coded Google calendar to keep track of appointments, to-dos, etc, & sync to my phone. I also use the free version of Evernote that lets me write down everything + add photos in notes on my laptop & sync to their app on my phone & vice versa.

03 - Daily Time Blocking Every morning, I designate a 1-hour time block within my Google Calendar (which is that’s linked to a larger yearly do***ent) to sit down and write. I consider this almost like a “workout” of sorts. Putting in reps daily.

@ravipisharody It's a nice process that involves excel, Google calendar and multiple apps. Works like a charm! V said he will automate it for me one day, so all other apps and events are populated when I put down info on the sheet alone, still waiting for him to be free though 🥲
