Are you looking into it? It seems to be an issue that's reported multiple times on the web & solution seems to be "restart"?!

I use a note-taking app. That way I can create dropdowns and categorize my entire life's thinking and information. I use Yana, but Evernote is also good

@evernotehelps Here's a way to temporarily fix the broken Ctrl-A behavior in an @evernote note:
* Drag and drop an image into the main text area of a note.
* Or: paste in an image from system clipboard via Shift-Ctrl-Cmd-4
Ctrl-A now works properly in that note only. Ok to delete image.

@deelisterphotos @AcademicChatter @evernoteUK Thanks, that’s good to know and I agree that it’s down to personal preference. So far I’m loving its features, interface and the plug in for my browser. Really useful for storing papers although I also use Zotero which is just as good in that regard. Can’t beat paper notes :)

@grahammcbain I use paper and evernote. Take a photo of the paper and post it in the electronic note. Paper is really good for me to capture ideas. Evernote is really good for breaking it down to distribute and creating personal tasks.

@SashaDevlin I have an Evernote notebook I’ll just add a note to for each plotbunny. I’m slowly migrating that over to Notion. For scene flashes I’ll either jot it down in Notion (where my current WIP notes live) or in Scrivener itself.

Support says: "our team is already working on a fix w/r/t the CtrlA shortcut issue. I cannot provide a time frame for when this will be fixed, but rest ***ured that we are now working on solving this case." (my ticket 3384041) 🙏🏼

I've tried Evernote, Keep, Notes, Overleaf, Roam, Obsidian, and even Dropbox+VIM and I always go back to pen and paper 📝

@allisonbmccoy Also, remember that your academic CV (which gets LONG) and resume are different. I recommend an easily accessible do***ent or note (eg google docs, evernote, apple notes etc) to jot down things they have "accomplished" in real-time and so can pull out when needed eg interview.

and the other important thing is actually keeping track of all the places you write down ideas - notebook on desk, notebook near bed, Google drive, Evernote, post it, text to a friend, email, Twitter - and not wanting to die at all the disorganization w random thoughts
